Dear Chai boys and girls!
No work (but with pay) tomorrow (February 25, 2026) at Jacob’s Well Chai — EDSA Revolution Day.
Even though the current administration has declared Feb 25 a Special Working Holiday (meaning it’s treated like a normal working day, with no holiday premium), we’re choosing to pause operations.
It might look like a “small” act of resistance, but for us it’s a way to remember, and to honor a shared history of the Filipino people. This matters to us.
Over the years, chai has meant more than spices and tea. It has become a way of life that teaches us to pay attention. Standing up for something doesn’t have to be radical.
Most of the time, it’s simply putting your money where your mouth is. And it’s usually easier said than done.
