What is Masala Chai?

What is Masala Chai?

Masala Chai is an Indian Spiced drink. Masala means spice, and chai means tea - in short, Spiced tea.

Enjoyed by millions in India and around the world for its rich antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

A cup of chai contains less caffeine than a cup of coffee. This means you can still enjoy a nice cup in the morning for a small but prolonged caffeine boost, and still cutting back on your caffeine intake. In addition, our body absorbs the caffeine in chai more slowly than the caffeine in coffee because of the amino acid called L-Theanine. L-Theanine is found in teas that times the release of the caffeine preventing you to surge and crash unlike heavily caffeinated drinks.

What makes chai healthy? Chai contains all the good stuff mainly coming from dried ginger and whole spices like cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, pepper corn, and fennel seed. This makes chai improve digestion, helps prevent nausea, inflammation, aches, and pains. It also supports your immune system, and may improve heart health.

Recreate your favorite chai latte from your favorite cafes through Jacob's Well Chai and pack stuff yourself with all the good stuff. It's so easy to prepare, just add milk.
